Summer Beach Sessions!

Well we skipped right over spring somehow (2020 has been a YEAR, hasn’t it?)—and our summer beach vacation sessions are in full swing. Topsail Island has opened up and is ready to go, and what better place to practice proper social distancing than the beach!

Our first extended family session this season came in May, as the stay-at-home restrictions began to ease up. This beautiful group travels from Ohio most every year to vacation here with us. They had portraits taken under the Surf City Ocean Pier years ago, and now that the family has grown, they needed updated memories with all the new family members.

How cute are these sweet kiddos??? Gahh, they melt my heart! They were so excited to tell me all about the ice cream they were earning for taking pictures (a tried and true method for kid portraits for sure! hahaaaa)

One of the best aspects of an Extended Family Session is getting several family sessions in ONE! (And getting to split the cost of course). No doubt there are times when you want to take extra time with just your immediate family, but it really is fun to have portraits made when the whole crew is together!

We also had a surprise engagement!!

Well, not at the pier exactly, but thats what this sweet guy was originally planning. As it ended up, the night before the session was just perfect so he proposed to her then. She was completely surprised, and they were still gushing the next day—so their portraits here were even more special. This Topsail vacation will definitely never be forgotten.
