Family Session in North Topsail Beach

We’ve been so busy wrapping up summer vacation season and moving right along to fall that I realized we really haven’t spent enough time sharing all the beautiful families we’ve had the honor to document.

This amazing crew came to Topsail in August from Maryland, and we’re so glad they did. The two older brothers were home from college, and little sister was about to start 2nd grade when she returned home.

The weather was perfect that evening, and the light was absolutely glorious.

We were able to get several traditional portraits (for the Christmas card!) but we also had fun and captured those beautiful in between moments too!

Mom had the brilliant idea of bringing out the football for the big kids, and it was so great to see teenage/twenty-something boys seriously enjoying themselves with a camera there!

I should consider keeping a football in my camera bag!

Little sister also brought her sweet lovey along, and apparently he goes EVERYWHERE she does, so it was perfect he got to be in the pictures too. We have a puppy lovey like that in our family too, and when I look back at family pictures that Chancie the stuffed puppy is in it warms my heart so much! I have a feeling that this little girl’s momma will feel the same way seeing the lovey in photos years from now.

We got pretty wet, but we had a great time — and the portraits were absolutely worth it!
