Seas and Greetings! Driftwood Christmas Tree Portrait Sessions at the Beach

‘Tis the season!

Well, almost anyway!

It is the season for photographers to begin offering their holiday sessions though!

This year we will again offer our Driftwood Christmas Tree with our family sessions. These will be included with all our fall family beach sessions upon request. The driftwood was all pulled from the beach in Topsail after Hurricane Florence, so this little tree is pretty special to us!

Although we would really like to offer this as a Limited Session (our version of a “mini” session), it just isn’t feasible on the beach. For the best results on the beach, we need to work about an hour before sunset. There just isn’t enough good light to offer multiple sessions back to back within a large block of time. Even in the shade on the beach, the light can be very harsh, and it just isn’t as flattering.

We are able to offer 20 minute Limited Sessions at a smaller price point for our Christmas Cookie Booth Sessions (Sunday Nov 8th in Wilmington!) because we can set up in a shady spot and easily work from 10am until 6pm.

Because we can’t make Limited Sessions happen on the beach, we are happy to offer our family sessions the opportunity to use this unique handmade prop for their 2020 holiday portraits at no extra cost.

Each family gets plenty of time and a custom experience tailored just for them — exactly like all of our regular family sessions with a little holiday bonus!

Bring the dog too!! We absolutely love family portraits that include favorite furry friends!!

All of our family photography beach sessions are held in Topsail Island (Topsail Beach, Surf City, North Topsail Beach) and Wrightsville Beach.

We are happy to travel to Carolina Beach, Fort Fisher, Brunswick County Beaches (Oak Island, Ocean Isle, Holden Beach and Sunset Beach) but there is a $30 travel fee as we are based in Surf City NC.
